The old Church of Cill Inion (Church of the daughters of Leinin)
KilBay2.jpg (20876 bytes)
It is the early monastic site here that gives its name to the area. The name of the 6th century site was Cill Inion Leinin (Church of the daughters of Lienin) History of Killiney.

Glendalough Tower & Lakes

Glendalough Holy Trinity Cathedral

The cathedral building is very ruinous and has been rebuilt at some point with some funny consequences, such as the bullaun stone built into a wall in one corner on its side. Inside there are many grave slabs, a stone font and the remains of a decorated arch.

ALL OF THE ABOVE TOUR IN PICTURE HAS BEEN THE BRILLIANT WORK OF TOM OF FOUR WINDS.

We thank him and the patience of his family for such creative work. I am sure he would be pleased to have every parish in Ireland contact him for permission to include some of his works on their sites. Another wonderful gift of God shared by his people of hundreds of years. Please visit Toms site known as Megalithomania. "http://www.megalithomania.com
